The debut album of Der Stahlwald. Nathaniel Stottlemyer, a.k.a. Der Stahlwald, lived a 1980s childhood in rural Maryland filled with speculation about the region’s veiled Cold War structures and occurrences. This speculation inspired Corkscrew.
All tracks, with the exception of Playground, were composed and performed with VCV Rack, an open-source, virtual Eurorack modular synthesizer developed by Andrew Belt. Visit www.vcvrack.com for more information. Synthesized portions of Playground were performed with zMors Modular, available in the Apple App Store. Visit www.zmors.de for more information.
